James Parker, Chartered Financial Planner

James has been advising private clients on their financial affairs for sixteen years. Being a Certified Financial Planner, a Chartered Financial Planner, a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, and a Trust and Estate Practitioner easily puts him in the top five percent of the profession. In 2010 he was recognised as the ‘Inheritance Tax Financial Planner of the Year’ by Money Management Magazine (although he advises on a lot more than just inheritance tax planning).

Essentially he helps clients understand, take control and harness the potential of all aspects of their financial affairs in order to meet their needs and goals. The resulting financial strategy will be bespoke for each client. It will be holistic i.e. it will look at the overall financial provision and seek to meet all needs in the simplest and most efficient manner.

Having previously worked in a large accountancy firm, James left in order to provide a higher level of service to a smaller group of clients. His client base is predominantly comprised of time-poor professionals, business owners and the retired. He plans on restricting his client base to approximately one hundred and twenty families in order to ensure that he can continue to provide a highly personalised service. This personalised service is strengthened by his support team who play a key role in ensuring that clients needs are always met.
